Rhythm is harder than it sounds

One of the hardest techniques on the guitar for me is also one of the most basic. Keeping rhythm with the right hound. If I am just playing the guitar and not singing it is really rather trivial (for most songs), but as soon as I try to sing I try to make the rhythm and melody synchronize exactly. Never really sounds right. I do get better as I practice, but I hardly think I will ever be a natural.

Yes indeed. Playing with the right hound is very important. Some folks think a blue-tick coonhound is perfect, but sometimes I prefer a beagle ;)

Doh!
I prefer a black mouth cur all others things being equal. I should have stated that in my original post. :)
