Hard Drive Woes

My loyal readers may know that I recently had to replace the data drive in my desktop system. Now it looks as of the OS drive is dying. I have had several odd errors of late, and chkdsk keeps finding and "fixing" errors. Strangely the hard drive diagnostics all seems to pass, but I am not sure how thorough those are.

Today when I booted into the system it told me I needed to activate XP. I think it is time to get a new machine, as it is getting near impossible to find IDE drives these days, the drivers for the nForce chipset in my mother board are so old that they show up under the legacy section for driver downloads, and the system is still using AGP instead of PCI Express for the video card. A sad sad system.

New computer?
Apple Mac Mini! You can put any operating system you want on it, and it isn't as if you don't already have a monitor, keyboard, and mouse you're used to.
