Big Rock II

This is an image of the rock I spoke of in my previous post. I placed a standard 12" ruler in the middle to give it some perspective. It is truly heavy.

Impulsive Stone Walling

Often I get an impulse to buy random things, but with a little will power and reasoning I am able to overcome the urge. For instance just last week I wanted to by a bunch of pinball machine balls, but was able to resist. Yesterday however, inspired by the guys moving the 1300-1900 (maybe more) pound rock, I had an urge to buy books about building stone walls. And so I did. They look absolutely fascinating, and though I may never build a stone wall I am sure I will be happy to have read the books.

  1. Building Stone Walls
  2. A Guide to Dry Stonewalling
  3. The Granite Kiss: Traditions and Techniques of Building New England Stone Walls
  4. Art of the Stonemason
  5. Moving Heavy Things

Celebracadabra

I love watching magic shows, so when I saw Celbracadabra advertised I felt compelled to record it. So far it has been a train wreck of a show, mainly because of Ant and his theatrics. Still I get to see magic being performed which is always fun. I will say that I am impressed by the speed at which the celebrities learn the magic tricks.

Writing Slowly

I am trying to write slowly, so I don't dishearten eds3 with my posting speed. The fastest being 5 posts in 8 minutes. So I am really taking my time on this posts, and trying to enjoy the sound of my own typing.

blah blah blah blah blah......
