She told me that she liked the swimming least, because it was so crowded. She got kicked a few times, and people kept veering in front of her. Since there were 2500 women in the race, it sort of seems inevitable that a little bit of that will happen. She said that the biking and running were great. She felt great the whole time, and never looked back. She was also impressed with the performance of her bicycle it is an old road bike that she has had forever, but it performed extremely well. She said that she was passing people left and right.
I also learned that for each triathlon, there is a mini-triathlon that takes place, as spouses and friends run from the various starting and ending points for each portion of the race. By the end of it I was feeling pretty tired. :) I am really looking forward to my wife doing more triathlons, and though I have no desire to actually run one, I think it will be great to help her train.
