Random Act of kindness

I thought it would be an interesting exercise to pick a random person in a third world country and mail them a twenty dollar bill. How do you find a random person in a third world country? Is there a world wide listing of all the people in the world and their addresses? Google doesn't find one. I realize few people read this journal, especially since I update it so rarely, but I thought I would ask anyway.

Random...and possibly kind?
I would love to know your motivation behind this potential act. Is it altruism, wanting to make a new connection with someone that has a vastly different perspective from your own, or just a passing random curiousity?

Ideas for selecting a (not so random) person: Contact any relief organization, peace corps, or the red cross to receive what would amount to a very, very long list of all the needy areas that they currently serve in 3rd world countries. To try to ensure that your money truly gets to a needy person, address a cover letter to a relief worker that can read english and give them instructions to pass on the money to one of the locals. Now that is randomness...sort of.

Re: Random...and possibly kind?
I think it is mainly curiosity. Just to see if I could do it. I would want the gift to remain anonymous, and I really want it to go to a needy person. But I would really have no guarantee of that. I guess I would just have to trust the postal system.
